Project ChildSafe

As a firearm owner, it is your responsibility to know how to properly handle and securely store your firearms.

Project ChildSafe is a nationwide program that helps ensure safe and responsible firearm ownership and storage.

While supplies last, the Perkins County Sheriff's Office is providing at no cost, firearm safety kits to any Perkins County resident 21 years of age and over.  The kit consists of a cable style firearm lock and firearm safety education material.  When properly installed the locks will render a rifle, shotgun or pistol inoperable.

Kits are available at the Perkins County Sheriff's Office during regular business hours Monday thru Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
